Course Overview
This two-day IREB CPRE Advanced: Requirements Engineering @ Agile course covers the topics from the IREB syllabus “CPRE – Advanced Level, RE@Agile” and meets the requirements set by IREB. You will learn international standards, methods and techniques in the field of requirements engineering in an agile environment. You can also use this workshop to prepare for the exam in order to obtain the corresponding internationally recognised IREB certificate.

Course Content
The Advanced Level module RE@Agile focuses on understanding and applying methods and techniques from the Requirements Engineering discipline in Agile development processes as well as understanding and applying concepts, techniques and essential process elements of agile approaches in Requirements Engineering processes.
The certificate enables persons with Requirements Engineering knowledge to work in Agile environments, whilst Agile professionals will be able to apply the Requirements Engineering toolbox within agile projects.
The RE@Agile provides the skills to:
- be familiar with the additional terminology of Requirements Engineering in an Agile context;
- successfully plan, implement and perform Requirements Engineering techniques and methods in Agile projects;
- successfully plan, implement and perform techniques and methods from Agile approaches in Requirements Engineering processes;
- combine Agile approaches and Requirements Engineering techniques to the benefit of all stakeholders.
Course Prerequisites
CPRE Foundation Level (FL) certificate The BCS (British Computer Society) Requirements Engineering certificate is recognized as being equivalent to the CPRE FL certificate. At least one certificate from another training course in Agile (CPRE RE@Agile Primer or any Scrum certificate) is recommended but not formally required.Test Certification
The examination consists of two parts:
- Written examination Multiple choice test
- Written assignment The written assignment must represent a realistic project situation from the candidate’s working environment. It must demonstrate that the candidate is capable to apply the acquired elicitation knowledge. For the completion of the written assignment, the candidate should invest the equivalent of two working days.
